National and University Library of Slovenia
The National and University Library of Slovenia (NUK) is the national library of the Slovenia and also serves as the university library of the University of Ljubljana. Its primary mission is to collect, organize, preserve, and provide access to Slovenia’s written cultural heritage. As the country’s central national and research library, NUK plays a vital role in supporting education, scholarship, and cultural preservation. NUK is an important partner in the RESILIENCE-SI consortium, contributing to the development of and access to religious and religion-related content, resources, and data. As a participating institution, it provides materials from its extensive collections, expertise in librarianship and information infrastructure, and support for the integration of the Slovenian research community into the European RESILIENCE research infrastructure.
Its key activities include:
- Preserving and digitizing the national cultural heritage;
- Providing high-quality information services for researchers, students, and the general public;
- Developing digital collections and services;
- Participating in national and international projects in the humanities and social sciences.
Through these activities, NUK serves as a fundamental support institution for Slovenian research, including the fields of theology, religious studies, philosophy, and related disciplines.
