RESILIENCE-SI is the Slovenian national consortium of ten institutions operating within the European research initiative RESILIENCE. At the European level, this initiative connects universities, research centres, libraries, and archives with the aim of improving the conditions for the study of religion and enabling better access to resources, data, and knowledge. RESILIENCE is being developed as part of the broader European system of research infrastructures guided by the ESFRI (European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) strategic framework. The long-term goal of the initiative is to establish a stable European research infrastructure in the form of an ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium), providing a more permanent organisational structure and stronger cooperation among countries in this field. The core idea of RESILIENCE is to connect dispersed resources and expertise, enabling researchers to access materials and tools for the study of religion more easily. In doing so, it promotes the use of modern research approaches such as digital tools, data analysis, and open science.

Within this framework, the Slovenian consortium RESILIENCE-SI connects institutions in Slovenia that are engaged in the study of religion or preserve important resources for this field. Its purpose is to strengthen cooperation among partners, encourage the development of research, improve the accessibility of materials, and integrate Slovenia into the wider European research network. The consortium brings together different types of institutions – from universities and research centres to libraries, archives, and church institutions – providing access to diverse materials and professional expertise. In addition to research activities, it also promotes the development of digital content, the organisation of professional meetings, and participation in international projects. RESILIENCE-SI therefore represents a collaborative platform that strengthens the study of religion in Slovenia while enabling its integration into the broader European context.
