Franciscan Institute Ljubljana
Franciscan Institute Ljubljana is an educational, cultural, academic, and research institution of the Franciscan Monastery Ljubljana Center. It is dedicated to the preservation, protection, and study of cultural and spiritual heritage. The Institute encompasses a historic library, museum, and archive, housing rich collections of early printed books, manuscripts, works of art, and other movable cultural heritage of significant importance to the cultural history of the wider Slovenian region. Particular attention is devoted to the professional processing, cataloguing, and digitisation of its collections, ensuring their long-term preservation and accessibility for researchers and the general public. In addition to its research activities, the Institute pursues an educational and outreach mission through exhibitions, lectures, publications, and collaboration with national and international institutions. Within the RESILIENCE-SI consortium, the Franciscan Institute Ljubljana participates as a partner in the preservation, research, and digital integration of religious cultural heritage into the European research area
