Catholic Institute
The Catholic Institute (KI) is an institution operating under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Ljubljana. It conducts research and development activities in the fields of the social sciences and humanities. Its mission is to foster a community of researchers and scholars dedicated to the creation, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge for the benefit of society as a whole. In line with this mission, the Faculty of Law and Economics was established as a private higher education institution that follows the values and vision of the Catholic Institute. The Faculty provides academic programmes and contributes to the development of research and education within the broader framework of the Institute’s activities. Within the RESILIENCE-SI consortium, the Catholic Institute participates through its Studia Slovenica Archive Collection, which preserves valuable materials relating to prominent Slovene emigrants and members of Slovene minority communities abroad, as well as numerous Slovene political, cultural, and church organizations worldwide. The collection represents an important resource for research on migration, cultural heritage, religious history, and the global Slovene community.
